Pastor Jay Greiner finishes large audio and acoustic upgrade. This was a unique project for Unity Pro Audio Video because of the construction of the building itself. This facility is a tent type with an internal frame and skin. Our first trip down to the church was a little wild because they had several different issues that were causing problems in their services. Due to the large shape and size of the auditorium, coverage was a problem and the shape was causing weird anomalies to be heard in the rear five or six rows. We were tasked to fix it.

We sent the project to our designer, Steve Parsons, and he built the facility in EASE software to find out what had to be done. The installation consisted of two twin QCS ILA line arrays for precise coverage needs, Yamaha M7CL 48 with aviom card and additional output card for FOH engineer, in-ear wireless for the worship team and band, new Shure SLX Beta 87’s for vocals, Clearsonic drum booth for acoustic drums, in addition to 1200 sq foot of acoustic banner material overhead and 960 sq foot of diffusers placed in strategic places in the facility that addressed the reflection in the room. Check out the pictures of the install. We are now starting on a 15,000 sq foot youth facility for the church which will be awesome as well.
